Waldy Diez

Waldy Diez is a Spanish-speaking multimedia journalist and producer, Twitter junkie and overall social media enthusiast. She is proficient in news writing, radio and television broadcast reporting and social media. Diez is the morning producer for WBNG-TV Action News.

She spent her summer as a multimedia and video intern at USA Today. She created content for the web using photos, videos, and audio. In addition, she helped produce various shows for USA Today's Video Network and was a regular contributor to USA Today College.

Diez received her Master's degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she was also a reporter for NCC News. While at Newhouse, she was a news production intern at WBNG-TV in Binghamton and a news reporting intern at CNY Central in Syracuse. In addition, she created multimedia stories for the NewsHouse, an online publication catered to the the SU community.

Diez received her online journalism degree at Rowan University. She spent a year as Student Station Manager at the university's radio station, Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-fm and two years as News Director. Diez spent four years on the air as a morning and afternoon radio host. She is a former columnist for the school's newspaper, The Whit where she wrote weekly about being a commuter student, along with tips to help other commuters.
