Wanda Hill

Wanda Hill maintains an extensive history with Valdosta State University in Georgia. Her first encounter with the school was as a student, when she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. From there, Wanda Hill continued her schooling, receiving a Master of Business Administration in 1978.

While enrolled in the Master's program, Wanda Hill also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Accounting and Finance. After graduating, she became an instructor of accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance there. She remained with the university until 1984, when she began working for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Wanda Hill served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business and Financial Affairs when she began at the university, supervising the Bursar, accounting office, purchasing, and auxiliary operations. By 1986, the school promoted her to Acting Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance. Upon receiving a promotion, Ms. Hill assumed responsibility for supervising internal audit, financial planning, and budgets, along with the human resources department, the facilities use and planning division, and an arena and fine arts center.

In 1988, Wanda Hill started working for Clemson University in South Carolina. Her first position was as Associate Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs, but within two years, she moved into the job of Senior Associate Vice President for Business and Finance. Her main duties consisted of supervising business affairs and accounting services. Upon becoming the Senior Associate VP, Ms. Hill also prepared budgets and took over the Vice President's daily duties during periods of absence. She additionally served as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Clemson University Research Foundation and Clemson Research Facilities Corporation.
