Whit Scott

Portland, Oregon

A lifetime theatre, comedy, and improv enthusiast - Whit Scott’s career began in television, as a Production Assistant on the hit ABC television series "The Bachelor" in 2004. From there, Whit attended the University of San Francisco, and graduated with a degree in Media Studies and Film.

While at USF and shortly thereafter, Whit worked in various film and television roles around the Bay Area before joining Seesmic (a tech start-up) as their Video Producer, in 2007. While with Seesmic Whit produced countless videos with the CEO, Loic LeMeur, on the tech/start-up industry and online branding, as well as Seesmic's social media platforms.

In 2011, Whit left Seesmic in order to pursue filmmaking, and within two years - had written, produced, and distributed "Rolled", a documentary about a filmmaker who returns to his hometown to track down the secret club of kids who toilet paper houses that he was a part of in the late nineties. The budget was secured through a successful crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter, backed by an aggressive social media presence.

Since "Rolled", Whit has been consulting for businesses and artists attempting to finance their projects through crowd-funding. He is also working on his second film, "Matchmakers" - a musical.
