In March 2016 I joined the Department of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences at the University of Hull (UK) as a postdoctoral research associate. My research focuses on climate change impact and adaptation of coastal and fluvial systems and is part of the European Union funded Hydralab+ project. Using primarily flume experiments, I try to gain a better understanding of sediment-biota interactions, the relation between vegetation and river flood events, and coastal response to changes in sea level and wave climate.

Before moving to Hull, I studied at Wageningen University, the University of Waikato and Utrecht University. I received my PhD in September 2013 from Utrecht University.

Working in Academia often involves moving around, and that is why on this page you can find a link to my current website (wordpress) and my other research-related online profiles (researchgate, linkedin, twitter). At my website, you will find more information about my work and scientific publications.
