William Funderburk, Jr., founding partner of Castellón & Funderburk, LLP, received his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. With over 20 years of professional experience in environmental compliance law, he manages the firm’s Los Angeles offices.

In 2013, Mr. Funderburk was appointed by Los Angeles Mayor and confirmed by the Los Angeles City Council as one of five board members at largest public utility in the United States ($6 billion in revenue). In this role, he works with general counsel's office and management on sustainability, renewables, water quality, geothermal, air quality, groundwater resources and quality, stormwater, water recycling, stormwater capture, clean tech (Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator) and climate policy issues. One of negotiators on landmark Owens Valley agreement.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Funderburk has published several articles on such environmental issues as alternate energy generation and Proposition 65, a law designed to protect Californians from exposure to toxic chemicals. Mr. Funderburk has also delivered over 150 public addresses to manufacturers and government organizations regarding compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) stormwater regulations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Funderburk is also an active contributor to philanthropic endeavors. He currently maintains membership on the boards of the Roy W. Roberts II Watts/Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club, the Thompson Publishing National Stormwater Advisory Panel, and the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council.
