Will taught himself BASIC on a computer that his parents bought as they felt he wasn't reading enough, and spent his formative years exploring Lancashire (gateway to the world) by mountain bike.
A degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a desire to improve the world led to PhD studies spent developing software based assessment and therapy tools for speech disorders. A spell working on technology-led regeneration projects and web apps led to a research career in developing technologies for more efficient public consultation.
He occasionally takes on interesting freelance projects outside of the day job to keep abreast of technologies and organisations he would otherwise not be exposed to.
