Xeno Martinez

Influenced by his New York roots and now thriving in Chicago, Xeno Martinez has exhibited his work at the Beverly Arts Center, Pilsen Open Studios, as well as the Heimbold Visual Arts Center. He is also an active member of the EXPO Collective.

Xeno is an artist dedicated to creating narratives through his artwork. Utilizing vibrant colors and a cartoonish style, he combines a love of cartoons with his over 10 years of experience in social service working with low-income communities to tell visual stories that hone in on the notion that life isn’t just black or white.

Cartoons can be both comedic and political, and Xeno aspires to achieve both with artwork that inspires others to see beyond stereotypes and perceptions, giving the audience permission to poke a little fun at themselves.
