I'm a Toronto based producer and communications exec., originally from Sask. (Saskatchewan if you don't know Canada). Have worked for Penguin Books, HarperCollins, the Ontario Science Centre and the University of Waterloo and held previous roles in business administration and finance. (True: right + left brain.) Have developed marketing and press campaigns for an amazing array of writers and entertainers from Joseph Boyden and Joyce Carol Oates to Carl Reiner and The Rock; political figures and biographers, including Michael Ignatieff and the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson (Canada's 26th Governor General); great Canadian chefs, including Mark McEwan, Michael Smith and Lynn Crawford; and major film tie-ins, including Lord of the Rings and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. All of this was fun. More recently, I developed a marketing and communications strategy for the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo and immersed myself in Waterloo's tech talent hub, often referred to as the Silicon Valley of the North. I am currently the head of programming for the Appel Salon at the Toronto Public Library.
