I'm in my thirteenth year of teaching high school mathematics in Mid-Michigan. I currently teach AP Calculus, Algebra II, and an elective I created called Critical Thinking.

I spend a lot of time thinking about how to help people have tough conversations so that we can solve the most wicked of problems. As a certified Moral Courage Mentor, I work to bring the skills of moral courage to my school district and try to use those skills in all of my interactions.

All of the above is aimed at helping my students become better problem solvers and better people. I believe better problem solvers and better people create a better society.

In my free time I enjoy doing anything outside, including running, cycling, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. I also enjoy spending time with my family, drinking good coffee, reading, and dabbling in philosophy.

You can find even more about me at my website, zachcresswell.wordpress.com or by following me on nostr, @z_cress. I look forward to connecting with you!
