Zachary Bornheimer sees no divide between technology and music— his work transcends boundaries, driven by emotion, precision, and impact.

Bornheimer’s music isn’t just heard—it’s felt. As a boundary-pushing composer and saxophonist, he weaves melodic storytelling with deep harmonic complexity, crafting works that linger long after the final note. Trained by GRAMMY®-winning composer Maria Schneider, he learned that every note must serve the emotion—a lesson that defines his music.

His song "Dance of the Ancients" has nearly 500k streams, premiering on both prog metal and jazz charts. "Haunted Lullaby of the Forgotten", winner of Ravinia’s International Bridges Competition, was described by the Chicago Tribune as "moving" and "imploring." Twice awarded the Owen Prize in Jazz Composition, recognized by the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards (via ASCAP), and featured at every Intn'l Jazz Composers Symposium from 2017 to 2024, Bornheimer’s work blends technical mastery with emotional depth.

Beyond composition, he played a vital role in one of the most acclaimed jazz albums of the decade. As Associate Producer of Maria Schneider’s "Data Lords", he contributed to the album’s mixing, mastering, and post-production. The album claims a GRAMMY® win and Pulitzer finalist status, among others. He has performed alongside jazz greats, including Chick Corea, the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, and The Four Seasons (The Modern Gentlemen).

Bornheimer brings the same philosophy to AI, automation, and cybersecurity—where the sum of the parts must become something greater. He founded Software Automation Holdings, where he developed Best Plan Pro, an AI-driven underwriting platform that has processed over 1M+ insurance cases and improved placement rates by 15%. As the inventor of AI-driven underwriting automation (US Patent No. 12,175,539), he pioneered advancements in InsurTech through seamless AI decision-making. After an acquisition, he took on the role of CIO at IIP Group Holdings, continuing to pioneer automation and AI-driven solutions, including Rapid eApp™ and RapidSign™.

A founder and entrepreneur, his work spans encryption, anti-piracy, expert systems, and automation, always driven by the same principle that guides his music: details serve the big picture.

For Bornheimer, music and tech are the same craft—both require structure, creativity, and an understanding that the best work isn’t just functional—it resonates. In jazz, that’s emotion. In AI, that’s magic.
