I'm an emergency physician living with my family in Earth's northern hemisphere, working in the capital Reykjavik.

Emergency medicine is where my heart belongs and my focus is on ultrasound (POCUS) and use of technology and IT in the ED. I practise and teach #FOAM.

I am also tech & information technology geek. I work 50% as a clinical IT consultant working with our HIT team on a very successful local EHR product where ideas are plenty and solutions are truly improving workflow in the whole hospital.

I'm an avid Linux user after having praised Windows and programmed .Net for years. Open-source software is inevitably at heart.

To counterbalance my days in front of the computer screen I'm pushing my limits physically running, bike-riding and swimming - my greatest adventure yet was swimming between Sweden and Denmark.
