Rachel Gross-Zouzias

After completing graduate school for Meteorology at Rutgers University, I began my career in the National Weather Service in Albany, NY. After a couple of years, I was promoted to a position in the NWS in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I spent almost 12 years in San Juan enjoying life both in an out of the office while my career flourished. Both of my girls were born and raised in Puerto Rico for the first several years of their lives.

I then moved on to Wilmington, NC continuing my career of over 20 years as a meteorologist in the National Weather Service. I love the technological aspects of my job including configuring the systems we work with on a daily basis, web development, and working with emerging technologies such as social media.
