He has presented numerous papers on the Art of Oud playing and techniques in reputable art events and conventions around Malaysia. His pursuit is not just by educating, but preserving the aesthetics and heritage of the Oud. He has been invited to international seminars namely the 3rd and 4th Turkish Classical Music Camp in Istanbul, Turkey, the Songs of Peace & Reconciliation in Yogyakarta Indonesia, the Iraqi Music Week 2008 Summer Program at the School of Oriental & African Studies in London, England; and the Arabic Music Festival in Cairo, Egypt.
Currently heading the Operations of NCA, Zulkarnain's passion in education and sharing his knowledge takes him from stages to classrooms and where the wind carries the songs from his Oud.
