I spend a lot of time outdoors. Sometimes in other countries. Sometimes it's on TV. Most of the time, I'm a writer, student, father, angler, and all around Nemophilist. BUT sometimes I take small groups of people into the wilderness and teach them how to survive as a team using almost no man-made resources. They source and filter water, forage food, build various types of shelters, and learn about firecraft. They stay positive while learning about survival psychology, including metacognition - how to analyze their behaviors and strategies in the wilderness and in their everyday lives - Sometimes those groups of people are business owners and corporate teams. Sometimes they're troubled youths or even children having birthdays. No matter who goes to the river, forest or swamp with me, they leave nothing behind and take home an experience that will last a lifetime.
