Hemel Shah

Having recently moved to London, I am taking up the role of Junior Sales and Business Development Manager at Incisive London. This role is taking me on a new, exciting career path within an innovative firm and allowing me to mould myself in a rapidly growing marketplace.

Having graduated with a degree in Economics in 2009 from the University of the West of England, Bristol, I took up a role as a mortgage and protection advisor at London & Country Mortgages – the largest fees-free mortgage broker in the UK.

I learned many things during my three and a half years in this role but most importantly, I gained the confidence in my own abilities to be able to handle a great deal of responsibility and trust myself to make the correct decisions in a pressurised environment.

Going Forwards

The future is particularly exciting for me from both a personal and professional perspective.

Personally, having moved to London from Bath in early 2013 I am looking to take in all of the opportunities that living in a large city has to offer. I am keen to see lots of shows, try out new restaurants, visit all of the sights and meet lots of new people.

Professionally, I am venturing into a new role where I can continue to develop as an individual and play my part in ensuring that the company grows and succeeds through hard work and innovation. I am looking forward to the challenges, responsibilities and making the journey as fun as possible.

Things I love to do

I have various interests and hobbies including –

Going to the cinema,

Watching sport – football, cricket, NFL and F1

Cooking – sometimes this goes well. Other times it’s useful to have the takeaway menu ready!

Trying new restaurants

Visiting new places

One last thing about me

I am a straightforward person who operates on the basis that there are no huge problems in life. In the grand scheme of things, all of the problems we face on a daily basis are pretty small and easy to solve.
