Jean-Claude Chalhoub was born in Egypt in 1958. Further to completing his MBA at the Paris-Sorbonne University, Jean-Claude worked for a number of insurance companies before joining the family Group of insurance broking companies in France which developed into the second biggest brokerage in the country during Jean-Claude’s time there. He subsequently worked in Montreal for the Group’s Canadian operation where, under his management, the revenue tripled.

In the ensuing years, Jean-Claude went on to establish the US presence for the Group before returning to the Middle East, where he worked with a number of Egyptian insurance organisations to establish Inaya, the pre-eminent provider of health insurance products in Egypt.

Jean-Claude is notably active in advising public sector entities and governments on social welfare programs. He has worked with state sponsored bodies and governments in Lebanon, Egypt, Italy and Ecuador in addition to former Soviet Union countries on a wide range of initiatives from increasing resources available to road accident victims, to the creation of programs for public healthcare and establishing emergency funds following natural catastrophes. He continues to play a significant role in a number of these studies and initiatives as many of them are on-going.

Jean-Claude is currently Senior Partner & Supervisory Board Member at Risk Management.
