Peter Chrisanthopoulos

Peter Chrisanthopoulos is a longtime advertising and media executive who currently works with the Katz TV Group (part of the Katz Media Group, a subsidiary of iHeartMedia Inc.) serving as senior vice president, director of integrated media, national marketing. Peter Chrisanthopoulos has been with the firm since 2006, where he helped create the Katz TV marketing division in 2009 as a way of providing clients with innovative TV and Internet-driven media and marketing solutions. In 2014, the marketing business development team that he led increased year-on-year TV sales by nearly 40 percent.

Mr. Chrisanthopoulos began his career in advertising and worked at agencies such as Young & Rubicam, in their broadcast programming and purchasing division. He next accepted senior responsibilities with Nabisco’s in-house media agency, Ohlmeyer Communications, and was eventually promoted and appointed RJR Nabisco Broadcast’s president and chief operating officer. Mr. Chrisanthopoulos also played an integral role in the creation of the Network Television Association and served as the organization’s first CEO and president. Peter Chrisanthopoulos subsequently guided the ABC TV Network Group as its executive vice president of research, marketing, and promotion. Eventually Peter Chrisanthopoulos went back to the agency side of the business and in 2000 he helped create Mindshare, serving as president, National Broadcast & Programming and Office of the President. After Mindshare Peter Chrisanthopoulos become President and COO, Network and Spot Sales & Marketing, at Pappas Telecasting/Azteca America and eventually was promoted to president and COO of Pappas Telecasting Companies in 2003.
