I've been in the fraud and security industry for about 15 years and worked for a couple of mobile operators in that time. I'm currently part of the Security Operations team at a mobile operator in the UK, leading the Security Risk team with two direct reports. I'm really passionate about security and developing pragmatic solutions to support the objectives of the business. I also sit on some sector industry bodies such as the GSMA Security Group and CPNI NSIE (where I am currently the Industry Vice-Chair).
I'm a Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) as well as a Member of the British Computer Society and an Associate Member of the Business Continuity Insitute.
Outside of work, I enjoy my food and drink and have quite wide and varied tastes. I have a particular love of good artisan cheeses from the UK and Europe. My other passion is single malt whisky with a focus on those from Islay especially Lagavulin. I am a keen (armchair) supporter of Chelsea Football Club. I listen to a wide range of music and I'm currently enjoying a lot of Dubstep.
I use LinkedIN for professional relationships, tracking my career and for social interaction with professional groups so if you're interested in finding out more about me professionally, that's the site to use.
I run two accounts on Twitter. The first (and the one linked below) is StuOnSecurity which deals with the professional side of things to do with security, resilience, continuity and mobile. The second is StuartLyle where tweets can be observational, foody, music or just plain silly. My personal twitter feed can get random - you have been warned.
My blog focuses on security stuff and is designed to offer a sideways perspective on the great and the good (or the bad and the woeful) in the land of security. It may ramble into other areas too - it's early days!
I'm not on Facebook.
