Aaron Royston, a recipient of the Champion of Change Award from the United States White House, joined venBio with past experience as an entrepreneur and in life science venture capital. Dr. Royston is passionate about improving the lives of patients through medical innovation.
Dr. Royston received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, his M.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and coordinated clinical research at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where his research has been published and presented in multiple medical journals and conferences. Dr. Royston was co-founder of Sportaneous, a technology startup that launched two mobile apps in the health & wellness space (acquired by Greatist).
Dr. Royston enjoys scuba diving, organizing pickup basketball games, eating good food, and reading/discussing evolutionary biology.
