Aaron Sanko is emerging as an artist management professional after retiring from a career as a professional performer in opera, theatre, and concert. He has also established himself as a sought after music educator, consultant, and music director/conductor. He founded a private voice studio that prepares singers of all styles, and focuses on making singing healthy and intuitive employing a holistic teaching style that goes beyond basic technique to address all areas of a performer’s career incorporating acting, movement, Alexander Technique, musicianship, audition techniques, and business skills. In addition to his work at UIA, Mr. Sanko serves as Resident Voice Instructor at the Berkeley Carroll School in Brooklyn, NY.
Aaron also has extensive experience in Human Resources Management and non-profit administration. He has served on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations, developing expertise in budget management, crisis management, and organizational development. Mr. Sanko pursued his undergraduate education in Voice Performance and Music Education from the Eastman School of Music, and a degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University.
In his downtime, Mr. Sanko enjoys playing pool as part of the New York Gay Pool League, and sings with The Stonewall Chorale.
