I promote healthy lifestyles to enhance quality of life, communicate with diverse populations, interpret and explain research in layman terms, train and mentor staff, and develop and implement policies and procedures.
As a health promotion consultant, I’ve educated people within corporations on topics such as how to increase physical activity, how to eat better, how to manage stress, and how to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
As a fitness coach, I’ve helped people climb Mt. Athabasca, hike to Everest base camp, complete their first triathlons, find relief from back and knee pain, and lose weight and inches.
I hold a master of science degree in human movement sciences, a bachelor of science degree in psychology, and have completed coursework in leadership development and in public health, including social and behavioral change, knowledge management, and evaluation.
Finally, I have many fitness certifications, including NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Precision Nutrition Certified Level 1 Coach (Pn1), and Functional Movement Screening (FMS) Specialist.
Ultimately, I love teaching people how to live healthier, more fulfilled lives.
