Ashley "AC" Trybula
Have you ever met someone who has to be occupied at every moment? Meet AC.
With a very diverse background in journalism, digital marketing, public relations, styling and sales it’s a difficult task to properly summarize Ashley Christine Trybula, or more personally known as AC.
AC currently leads a team of passionate editors for Radio One in Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, Raleigh and Richmond with previous contributions in Cincinnati and Indianapolis. In her spare time she teaches digital media to students majoring in Radio and Television at Illinois Center for Broadcasting.
AC’s work has been featured in People Magazine, US Weekly, Hip Hop Weekly, Ok! Magazine, XXL, Essence Magazine, RadarOnline, Billboard, Complex Mag and The New York Daily News.
The Chicago native regularly produces content for NewsOne.com; super-serving over 15 million monthly users.
As a freelance producer/editor, AC’s video packages have been featured on TMZ, ESPN, FOX, CBS, ABC and NBC.
With a tact for owning the press, many sought after AC as a brand manager. In 2011, AC led Kimberly “Paigion” Walker and Jordan “Shorty da Prince” Johnson into the national spotlight as the new faces of BET’s 106&Park with a phenomenal campaign in under six months. During this time AC honed her passion for public relations, starting her own brand management and public relations firm, ACPR.
Accolades of ACPR include talent placements on BET’s 106&Park and contributions that led artists signings to Atlantic Records, Columbia Records, Warner Bros. Records, Decon Records, Mass Appeal Records and more.
Other notable achievements include creating a community activist campaign that led to the foundation of the Detroit 300.
Outside of work, you can find AC in the kitchen testing out her latest recipes with her daughters Nya and Nevaeh.
AC is also an active member of the Recording Academy and the NAACP.
