Born on August 16, 1990, and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Adam has gotten his feet wet in many different areas of the art world, including drawing, painting, writing, and most recently, photography and web design. In his freshman year at Calvin Christian High School, he met Tyler Walburg, and the two have pretty much best best friends since. In high school, Adam knew he was artistic, but he didn't know that he wanted to do it for a living. He didn't really know all that much about any particular field of art, and even struggled grasping some of the simpler concepts. But he worked hard at it, and loved it. He became better and better, eventually discovering things about himself and defining himself as an artist. By his senior year of high school, he knew for sure that he wanted to be a concept designer and photographer. It was his passion, and it was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. But, he had no money for a college education. So, after graduating high school in 2009, Adam joined the Marine Corps. He served from 2009-2013, deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation: Enduring Freedom in 2011-2012. While stationed in Hawaii, he started putting together ideas for what he wanted to do when he finally came home. He knew he wanted to be a photographer, but those are a dime a dozen nowadays. He needed help. He needed something to set himself apart from the rest, and he would do that by diversifying himself. So, in 2011, he contacted Tyler back in Michigan about starting a business venture together, what we know today as Needs Wings Studios.
Adam will be home in Michigan for good in November of 2013. He enjoys pizza, chinese food, and considers himself somewhat of a cheese connoisseur. In his spare time, he enjoys video games, writing, running, and web design. His favorite band is The Classic Crime, and his favorite movie is Stranger Than Fiction. His favorite game of all time is Kingdom Hearts. He is a PC, and owns a Zune and an Xbox 360. He also prefers Canon over Nikon
