Adam Wood is currently serving as an analyst for Gannett's Publishing Infrastructure team. He is currently the primary network and server infrastructure manager for 13 Gannett sites across Iowa and South Dakota including one of two sites for Gannett's Imaging and Ad Design Center and one of three Gannett regional design studios. Adam also provides secondary support for 65 Gannett sites across the Central United States and extended support for over 350 locations across the United States. He primarily works in a VMWare ESXi environment running Windows Server OS operating off Dell EMC hardware but also works with Cisco networking equipment. Adam also has experience in help desk and desktop support, active directory management, mobile device management, and project management.
Musically, Adam has performance experience in the wind band, jazz band, athletic band, chamber music, and solo setting on both tuba and bass trombone. Notable performance credits include a performance on bass trombone with the Drake Trombone Choir at the 2013 Eastern Trombone Workshop and a performance on tuba with the Sinfonia Winds at the 2012 Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Convention. Adam has also served as an assistant producer on 4 recorded albums for the Drake University Wind Symphony. He continues to stream music recitals held on Drake's campus on YouTube and participates in Drake's Bulldog Brass Pep Band as needed.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Drake University with minors in Music and Mathematics. Adam is a native of Missoula, Montana and currently resides in West Des Moines, Iowa. In his free time, Adam enjoys auto racing among many other sports and biking with friends.
