After growing up in an adorably rural part of western Pennsylvania, Addie now calls Chicago, Illinois her home.

She attended Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA and Stirling University in Stirling, Scotland to study literature, religion, and politics. Addie graduated with a Master of Arts (A.M.) in Social Work (in the International Social Welfare Program of Study) from University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration in June 2015; she will finish her Master of Divinity (M.Div) degree at McCormick Theological Seminary in May 2016. Addie is also in the candidate stage of ordination with the Presbyterian Church (USA). To pay her way through school, Addie tutors, TAs, and chills out with the youth of Saint Paul and the Redeemer Episcopal Church.

Addie's favorite pastime is traveling, whether as a wanderer in a unknown land or a worker for peace in an area of conflict. In addition to studying feminist and queer literary criticism, liberation theology and environmental leadership, and clinical social work therapy, Addie is interested in the liminal spaces of "secular" and "religious," studying this topic extensively for her undergraduate senior capstone publication, "The Gospel According to…the Secular": Measuring Religiosity through Redemption in Censored Television.

Although Twitter is her favorite interface, Addie enjoys media, social and otherwise, and finds her introverted self very much at home with a cuppa, some NPR podcasts, or some quality time with her Netflix account.
