I am currently working at Darrell Barrett Salon in Hunt Valley, Maryland. I just finished my class - Hair: Mastered with Sam McKnight. My theory of Haircutting is - "Its more about sculpting than cutting it...." I first went to college for Classical Voice, then realized my true passion was Hair, so I decided to attend Robert Paul Academy for Cosmetology Arts this was the start to my passion of sculpting and coloring shorter hair. Understanding the different angles, which makes it feminine or masculine. I I started my career quickly, As I was in management, I needed another outlet, Digital Art and Photography. I went back to school and received High Honors and a degree in Visual Communications. With my music and art experience, made me view a deeper Art of Hair. I have an incredible passion for my work. So, I shifted from management to a stylist. As being a stylist, I saw my fellow co-workers struggle with color and cuts. This gave me a desire to teach higher education and began my path to educate on the professional level. So before I took the step in a career to educate, I attended University of Phoenix and took Communication and Education classes. I then auditioned for American Crew Educator and was accepted. I attended the educator training classes in August 2012. I am published in Inspire Hair book, Auxiliary Magazine, I also judged for Miss Teen Baltimore 2014. I have worked on MTV videos sets and photo shoots for local Baltimore bands. Educating other stylists and seeing their bright smiles when they learn a new technique is priceless for me.
