Certified Project Manager and Resident Engineer in Ajax, Ontario, Canada
Adrian Ionita, PMP, CET is an accomplished, experienced Certified Project Manager and Resident Engineer with more than fifteen years of experience in delivering project leadership and execution in the municipal, residential, and water/waste-water sectors.
Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Adrian Ionita is a Certified Engineering Technologist by OACETT. Among his other educational and certificate accomplishments, in 2011 Adrian earned his Project Management Certificate from the University of Toronto. He followed this certification by earning his Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from the Project Management Institute in 2012.
As a result of his experience leading and delivering upon civil works and building service projects, Adrian has gained an extensive understanding of construction practices, regulatory requirements, and how to work within the specifications of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Provincial Standards, applicable CSA, ESA Codes, ACI concrete standards, the Clean Water Act, TSSA, and the Ministry of Labour Regulations for construction projects.
During the course of his career, Adrian has proven his project delivery and capital management abilities by successfully overseeing notable municipal and residential projects within the Ontario area. These projects include upgrades made to the ABTP Ferrous Chloride and RAS Chlorination system in Toronto, an upgrading project for the Humber SPS Pumping Station in the York region, the Victoria Feedermain Linear project in Peel, and a sidewalk and road rehabilitation project in Hamilton.
Success in each of these projects required construction management expertise, planning and control of project engineers and general contractors and an ability to guide projects across all stages, skills that Adrian was successful in demonstrating.
With an understanding that construction project success requires firm support from all stakeholders, Adrian has developed a unique ability to strengthen both public and stakeholder engagement. He is done this in part by prioritizing direct communication with contractors, consultants and members of the public as an on-site representative and remaining thoroughly involved in all activities during the lifecycle of a project.
As a project manager and resident engineer who has oversaw municipal and residential projects with multi-million dollar budgets, Adrian has developed key skill strengths over the course of his career.
