My first step toward becoming a programmer was a Java course I took while earning a Physics degree in college from Arizona State University. Before I graduated Summa Cum Laude I was exposed to Mathmatica and gained a true appreciation for the power of programming.

After graduation I began learning C++ but was entranced by the accessibility and power of Web Development and took to teaching myself JavaScript, HTML and CSS. To take my skills and understanding to another level I enrolled in Hack Reactor.

My lastet project (Scheddit) was creating an app to allow reddit users the option of prescheduling posts. This solves the problem of needing to post at a particular time that is either inconvenient or difficult. Working both on the front and back end I ensured the app had a responsive design for mobile users, implemented the use of Stylus and handlebars.js and assisted in authorizing users via passport.

For another recent project I was part of a two-man team that was contracted by a client to develop a new web application for the toy industry. On the back-end I used Node.js, Express and PostgreSQL; on the front-end I used Angular.js. Highlights of my contributions to this project include implementing an encryption algorithm to authenticate users, creation of a database, establishment of a network management system.

The app is currently being demoed at high profile conferences, such as the 2013 Dallas Toy Fair and Toy Fair 2014 in New York.
