Afolabi Williams

Afolabi WILLIAMS, is a graduate from the Nigerian premier University of Ibadan, a project developer, development practitioner, civic diplomat, social entrepreneur, a passionate volunteer with key interests in youth education and development, and an IT expert in software engineering and digital branding with an overall estimate of over four years’ experience.

Having combined his expertise and civil society space, he advocates peace, education, youth inclusion in governance and poverty alleviation.

Also, he trains young underserved students in marginalized communities on special skills and some thematic areas of education for sustainable development (ESD) and global citizenship education (GCED) to help them acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development in their communities. He extends his trainings to young individuals in tertiary and higher institutions with focus on project management and execution, resource mobilization, programming, diplomacy, civic leadership and digital literacy.

He has a sole purpose to inspire, equip and mentor 100,000 young people in Africa within a space of three years to five years.

He's passionate about seeing young people take up responsibilities with little or no input of the government in ensuring a growing economy with little or no deficit in building communities and turning low grade rural areas to a mega urban society.

He has been featured on different interviews and broadcast on radio, TV stations and print media across Nigeria and Ghana.

Amongst his several achievements, he’s a recipient of the YALI Leadership Award at the RLC Ghana, conferred Global Youth Ambassador by A World At School Foundation, distinguished as one of 500 Global Youth Ambassador by ROI AFRICA, honoured as 2016 Junior Chamber International Nigeria University of Ibadan Most Outstanding Person Award, GLE Common Purpose Fellow and a YALI Fellow.

He’s the Curator of Skill Beyond School, The Changemakers Network, Peace-Ed Initiative and Lead Developer for PsychBox App, Spokesperson and Team Lead for Not Too Young To Run Oyo State, Program Director for Young African Diplomats Network, Deputy State Coordinator of the African Youth Union Commission, Oyo State, and Country Representative for Peacfulmind Foundation International.

He possesses the following certifications; Project Management, SAP, and CCNA.
