Allison Elyse Gualtieri is the Senior Editor, Education for U.S. News & World Report. She used to be Assistant Education Editor, but upgraded last year.

Before that, she was Managing Editor/Digital Content for NJN Publishing. That means she worked on “Web stuff” for a group of community newspapers on NJ.com, but really it means wholesale culture change (and the numbers to prove it).

She completed her M.S. in Interactive Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, and won several awards for her work as the education reporter for The Sedalia Democrat in Sedalia, Missouri.

Yes, she was a bit of a vagabond. But D.C. is pretty sticky.

Her interests include: tabloid headlines and the stories that inspire them; education policy; fiber arts; how many plants she can fit on her balcony and the future of news reporting and information dissemination.
