Akpéli Nordor is a French pharmacist and biotechnologist currently completing a PhD at Institut Curie, a leading European comprehensive cancer center in Paris.
His work focuses on deciphering molecular circuitries shared by cancer and placental cells. Akpéli is also a visiting research scholar at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School where he is training in computational biology for the analysis of high-throughput epigenomic and genomic datasets. Thus, he hopes to contribute to improvements in the scientific understanding and medical management of aggressive cancers as well as pregnancy pathologies.
Beside his research activities, Akpéli actively promotes science and technology entrepreneurship as part of Hello Tomorrow, a non-profit organization catalyzing the creation of startups disrupting traditional industries thanks to innovative technologies. He has served as secretary and head of conference since its inception.
Akpéli Nordor holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Master of Science in ‘Bioengineering for Biotherapies’ from Université Paris Descartes and ParisTech. He is completing his PhD as part of the ‘Frontiers in Life Sciences’ program of the Center for Research and Interdisciplinarity of Paris (class 2013-2016).
