Amanda K. Lake
Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and Organizational Leadership Consultant in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania
As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Amanda values the opportunity to help others gain insight into their own talents and strengths, and to recognize the important contributions they make to their communities, workplaces, schools, and families. She has found the “Aha Moment” that usually results from coaching conversations to be one of the most rewarding experiences in her career. Amanda feels truly privileged to coach others as they gain greater awareness of their talents, develop an appreciation for their gifts, and apply their strengths to both improve their own lives and better serve others.
Amanda has over sixteen years of experience in public school education, serving as a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Educational Services. She has taught online graduate classes that helped to prepare teachers to become school leaders. Amanda is a doctoral student in Regent University's Doctorate of Strategic Leadership program, which has provided her with the benefit of participating in a cohort of students made up of executive leaders from businesses and organizations all over the world. Her perspective on organizational leadership has been enriched by the research that scholars have conducted on leadership from a wide variety of professions and academic disciplines. As the owner of Lakeside Leadership Services, an independent consulting company, Amanda provides coaching and consultation to leaders and teams from churches, non-profit organizations, and schools.
Since 2015, Amanda has volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the foster care system, which continues to be a challenging, but extremely rewarding, experience! When she needs a break from researching, reading, and writing, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and church community, gardening, taking long walks in the woods with her dog, and fly fishing.
