Alan Toth

Alan Toth is a filmmaker and video production professional. He is educated in multimedia production, and fine art. He worked for many years in cable television and publishing. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in South Africa from 2010 – 2012.

His Peace Corps service inspired him to pursue a career directing documentary feature films. He directed and produced Posh Corps in 2013. He is currently raising funds for his second film, which is about Bay Area houseboat culture.

Alan has many years of experience with public speaking. He is an accomplished solo storyteller, and has spoken at universities around the country. He regularly speaks at so-called “story slam” events, and he recently spoke at the Commonwealth Club of California regarding the Posh Corps production process.
