As a freelance writer, author and storyteller, I inspire decency, forthrightness and honesty in the community. I help people, companies, and institutions redefine their narrative in the face of the challenges of debt, discontentment, and distress. Social reformers, philosophers, and charities also work with me to order and teach liberty, providence, and fortitude in actionable steps. I focus on the common good of economics where subsidiarity is beneficial - think "solidarity and justice" meet "gift and service. "I'm a researcher by training and an entrepreneur by trade. The husband of a photography lecturer and father of children at university, college & school, I am fascinated by how spirituality is the bedrock of reality. I learned this when entombed inside a failing business held captive by a well-funded, hostile competitor, eroding my supply and customer base, suffocating revenue streams, and destroying my livelihood - think Jonah and the Whale - bedraggled, stinking self that needed to change direction. I began my career as a theologian, a disciple of a Community Church in England and a Bible College in Canada by the age of 22. Raised in Basingstoke, Hampshire, I currently live in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. My guilty pleasures include walking our teddy bear looking dog, Chester, and supporting Leeds United (not so pleasurable these days) and Hampshire County Cricket Club. I'm an avid follower of social media relating to literature, politics, and faith and know some of the best chefs in the country as friends. Oh, I also love travelling to Italy! (Who doesn't?) You will soon be able to check out my book - Never, Never, Debt! - a story of despair and then hope in the face of financial and moral bankruptcy - and other stories that will encourage open conversations, and challenge stereotypes.
