I tell a story of the challenges of facing debt, discontentment, distress, and the moral maze of bankruptcy. Who is the most bankrupt, the financially dependent individual or the economic system encouraging debt-dependency?

I'm a researcher by training, an entrepreneur by nature and a writer by choice. A husband of a beautiful Indian bride and father of four at university and in the workplace, I am fascinated by how Spirituality is the bedrock of reality. I learned this when entombed inside a failing business held captive by a well-funded, hostile competitor, eroding my supply and customer base, suffocating revenue streams, and destroying my livelihood. Think Jonah and the Whale, bedraggled, stinking self full of self-pity and remorse, needing to repent and change direction.

Raised in Basingstoke, Hampshire, in 1970s charismatic circles, I attended and eventually worked for the local community church before jetting off to study for a non-accredited theological college in Vancouver, Canada. I currently live and work in Leicestershire in bed sales, customer service, and flat-pack furniture assembly but my "home away from home" is still in my native county.

My guilty pleasures include walking our teddy bear-looking dog, Chester, allotmenteering, and supporting Leeds United and Hampshire County Cricket Club.

I'm an avid follower of social media relating to literature, politics, and faith, and I know some of the best chefs in the country as friends. Oh, I also love travelling to Italy, who doesn't?
