Growing up I have always had a passion for film and TV Broadcasting. Movies and TV were my escape from reality even if it were for only a couple hours with some even helping me through rough times in my life. I did not grow up anywhere near the middle class so entertainment was rarely an option for me but with the low ticket prices (and homemade TV antennas) I always found a way to stay entertained and stay busy. As I grew older I continued this tradition on my own and started observing film/TV in new and more in depth ways. I noticed how beautiful and how ugly a film can make you feel using strategic tactics. I remember watching films such as Marie Antoinette (2006) and The New World (2005) and getting lost in the scenery. I did not know this until I was older but this was called the art of cinematography. I had fallen in love with this art form before I even knew what it was. Deciding to change my major and join CSUMB's Cinematic Arts and Technology program was one of the best decisions of my life because it has given me the opportunity to explore a world that had taken over my life. I have learned so much in the two short semesters that I have been here and I would love to continue my studies through real life experience in internships. The only thing that is in between me and my passion for Filmmaking and TV Broadcasting is internship admission. It will allow me the pleasure of working with amazing artists while learning from the best.
