Alec Clews

Melbourne Australia

Old school software guy, wannabe Gen-Y kid and occasional Pointy Haired Boss. I wrote my first computer program in 1978 on an ICL mainframe.

As well as getting cutomers neat solutions to their problems I love to teach and share from my thirty plus years of experience. I've spoken many times at various conferences and meetings (see Slideshare for some of my previous talks), have a few toy projects on GitHub and I'm part of the Raspberry Pi community.

My bragging rights include starting the Greater London Linux User Group, The UK Linux Developers Conference and Melbourne Raspberry Jam (Raspberry Pi user Group).

I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia but I've lived in Britain, France, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain. I've also worked in the US, Singapore, Thailand, France, India and New Zealand.
