Alejandro Pérez Riquelme

Alejandro is a Spanish veterinarian currently working as an intern in the Animal Health Department of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, located in Madrid.
After his Bachelor in Veterinary Medicine he studied a MSc in Wildlife Management and then a MSc in Natural Protected Areas. Apart of that, he has attended to several congress and courses related with this area. During the last years, he has lived in several European countries and he can speak fluently Spanish, English and French.
He has a professional background in different areas (small animals clinic, wildlife medicine and conservation, rural development, animal health management), but his main area of professional interest is the relationship between human, animal and ecosystem health (One Health). He is continually learning about this topic and he would like to contribute in the control and prevention of zoonoses diseases in the future.
He loves hiking, travelling and outdoors sports.
