Alexandra Caufin is an essayist, short story writer, editor and photographer based in Toronto.

Currently, Alexandra is engaged in a mess of projects. She works as the Toronto city editor at the Yellow Pages Group, where she writes and edits lifestyle pieces about Toronto's intense localized culture. It's pretty great. She is also the features editor at Carbon Paper, an arts and culture magazine that brings Toronto’s most talented visual artists and compelling art projects into public view via conversation, critique, humour and humility. She is frequently a contributing writer to the publication.

She is also pursuing her Master's of English in the field of Creative Writing at the University of Toronto, where she is at work on a novel under the mentorship of Barbara Gowdy. Alexandra studied creative writing, literature, and literary theory in Vancouver (UBC) capitalizing on her favoured spheres of modern life: streetart and graffiti, contemporary approaches to literature and the space of the page, the realities of the digital world, and the obscurity of trend.

Her writing has been published in a lot of places and you can visit her portfolio online for more on that. She lives in Toronto’s Blansdowne neighbourhood, directly between an Italian and Portuguese grocery store. Giuseppe and Mr. Da Silva, respectively, scowl at her when she asks to use her debit card. It is the best part of her day.
