Alexandre Alonso is a Lisbon-based artist who earned his diploma in Architecture in 2001—and a master's degree in Large Scale Architecture in Barcelona in 2003.
In 2014, Alexandre Alonso decided to radically change his professional path and follow his passion for art and his dream to become a full-time self-taught visual artist.
The ambitious desire to transform and shape structures of the soul into large-scale figurative paintings has become his objective, fascination and body of work.
After his debut exhibition in December 2014, 'Three Man Show', a 3 portrait sold-out solo show, Alexandre Alonso is now preparing a new collection of 14 figurative abstract paintings to present in the end of 2016, while working in several commissions.
Alexandre Alonso is now looking to expand his artwork and focus on new challenges and new markets, where he can engage and develop as an emerging artist and ‘one to watch’.
