Alex is currently a junior majoring in Business Management with a minor in Leadership Studies. Around campus he is involved with the Honors Program, the Hampton Renaissance Scholars program, the William R. Harvey Leadership Institute, and the Golden Key Honor Society. Alex spent his 2013 summer as a University of California Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders (“SIEML”) Fellow at the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he applied leadership skills in a collaborative team setting. Prior to his summer at UCLA Anderson, he participated in Barclays Success Through Early Exposure Mentoring and Sponsorship (“STEMS”) competitive freshman investment banking program in New York. In early 2014, Alex spent part of winter break in Manhattan as a Generation Next investment banking extern with Barclays where he was able to his refine soft skills and gain exposure to certain coverage groups within the firm. During the summer of 2014, Alex split his time between opportunities within the legal and business industries. He successfully completed the Pre-Law Undergraduate Scholars (“PLUS”) Program at Rutgers Law, where he further developed his critical thinking, writing abilities, and began preparing for the LSAT. As it relates to business experiences, he participated in Prudential Financial’s PEAK Leadership Program. Also, he interned as an Acquisitions and Development Summer Analyst with a top boutique real estate developer in Portland, Oregon. Additionally, he finished his two-year commitment to SIEML, where he led his team to win the Deloitte 2014 Case Competition. Alex is graduating early (December 2015), and plans on working at a top financial services firm before pursuing a joint JD/MBA. In his free time he enjoys running, playing pick-up basketball, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
