International Development Studies (MA) graduate with 5 years of local and international project management and community-based research experience; designed and executed various projects from rural Ontario to Cambodia. I am driven by today’s social justice, human & animal rights, and global advocacy issues and I love to help others.

From 2007-2009, I managed various community-based research projects throughout eight countries in Asia and developed a successful English program and curriculum for one of South Korea's leading schools. These experiences led me to complete a Master's thesis under the supervision of leading migration researcher Dr. Kerry Preibisch which focuses on Canada's Temporary Foreign Worker Program. As a Research Assistant with the International Migration Research Centre, I conducted original, leading-edge, qualitative interviews with South East Asian migrant workers and key community members to inform policy and contribute to public debate about immigration in Canada. As Project Manager for AboutFace, I designed and executed two key pilot projects for the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association (OCGA) to strengthen relationships with community partners and increase charitable revenues. My final evaluation report will be available on the OCGA website in early January.

I have a proven track record in facilitation and mentorship as demonstrated through my volunteer experience with the Guelph-Wellington Local Immigration Partnership, Immigrant Services, and Women in Crisis. I volunteer with The Seed Community Food Hub in an effort to bring people together with food to improve community health, access, and advocacy efforts.
