My senior year, for the first semester, kind of sucked to be honest. College could not have come soon enough. To start the year off horibly, I tore my ACL the day before school even started. I was on the varsity cheerleading team and couldn't wait to cheer under those friday night lights with all of my best friends. Because of my injury, I had to sit on the sideline and watch as everyone else yelled for the boys. I also missed out on fun events and parties that came along with senior year. I was very upset about the whole situation, but I ended up using this time to focus on my school work and finish up my college applications.
Everything turned around at the end of November when I recieved my acceptance letter from The University Of Georgia. All of the sadness I had from missing out went away when I found out I was going to be attending my dream school. I cried tears of joy and realized that all of my hard work had finally paid off. Also, people thought that I was not smart because I was a cheerleader; So telling everyone that I got in to UGA early was very satisfying.
The thing that I was most excited for about leaving highschool and come to UGA was getting to make a lot of new freinds. I had a couple of close friends in highschool, but I was sick of all the drama. Now that I am here I couldn't be more happy and I can't wait to see what all UGA has in store for me.
