Allison received her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she concentrated in Global Environmental Sustainability and Health. She was awarded the U.S Health Resources and Services Administration Public Health Training Grant for her work in nutrition and the environment. For her MPH Capstone Project, Allison wrote an evaluation proposal to examine the implementation and impact of the USDA's Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program in Baltimore City Public Schools.
Allison has diverse experience in the field of food systems and obesity prevention, including implementing and evaluating childhood obesity initiatives in school settings, mapping the food environment to better understand food sources, and working with farmers' markets to improve food access for low-income populations. Farmers' markets are one of Allison's favorite places and she hopes to visit as many as possible throughout the U.S!
