My name is Amal Kartaoui and I am currently enrolled at NCCU business school as a junior in the hospitality and tourism program. I prepared and obtained my associate degree in Arts at Durham Technical Community College before transferring to NCCU in fall 2014.

I was born and raised in Morocco where I successfully finished my primary and secondary education. I moved to the U.S. in 1999 after I got married, and decided to postpone my college education until I settled in my new home in America. Life went by very fast, and 10 years and three sons later (aged 14, 10, and 1&1/2 years old), I decided to go back to school and realize my dream of having a degree in hospitality.

Having a dual background and speaking three languages (Arabic, French, and English) developed my passion for travel and meeting people from different cultures, and who would not love that to be their career? Hospitality industry will allow me to show my happy personality and provide my customers with the best service out there. My ultimate goal is to own my personal event planning business and venue. It will require very hard work, but it will definitely be the most wonderful journey through which I will show my kids that nothing is impossible if they put their minds and hearts into it.
