My interests are in complexity, social systems, and emergent group-level behavior. I am currently analyzing player strategies and group behavior in Foldit, an online multiplayer citizen science game, while at Indiana University in Bloomington. I recently completed an internship at Harvard University’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science, where I worked on genTB – a project exploring the statistical analysis of genomic data for antibiotic resistant strains of mycobacterium tuberculosis –and developed a new UI scheme allowing TwoRavens (data visualization and statistical analysis tool) to incorporate large genomic datasets. As part of my graduate research at Vanderbilt University, I studied large and heterogeneous biogeochemical datasets in order to understand feedback loops between dietary variation and social structure among prehistoric populations in Latin America.
