Amanda graduated cum laude from Albion College in 1994 with a BA in Political Science and a concentration in the Ford Institute of Public Service.
In 1994, she interned for Governor John Engler’s campaign while in her last semester of college. She moved to the Michigan Republican Party doing fundraising and event planning immediately after graduation. Amanda was promoted to Deputy Finance Director in 1996.
In 1997 Amanda moved over to the House Republican Campaign Committee as Finance Director. There she helped raise the funds that returned the House to a Republican majority in 1998.
Amanda came to NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business) in 2002 where were she currently holds the position of Assistant State Director. In addition to lobbying the Michigan Legislature on a variety of issues affecting small business, she is also involved in organizing NFIB members and increasing activism at the grassroots level.
Amanda currently resides in Lansing, MI. She is actively involved in Pennway Church of God, loves to read, spend time with friends, is a slightly crazy cat lady and a rabid professional tennis fan.
