Having triumphed over much adversity in his life, it was entrepreneurship that changed Amar's life from the aspiring entrepreneur to becoming a serial entrepreneur. With the support of many of his role models, Amar set up and has grown award winning social enterprise, The Small Business Consultancy (TSBC) from his bedroom to two cities and has supported over 1,000 people from the hardest to reach backgrounds. His view is simple: to give something back to the community and people that came from the same adversities he has and bring the power of the collective together to create positive social change. Amar has dedicated his life to supporting those in need and bring public, private and voluntary sector together to create a society that doesn't hold people back from becoming successful.

Amar's experience began from kicked out of school aged 17, being long-term unemployed, homeless and battling a two year drug addiction, to getting a break to work with entrepreneurs as part of Channel 4's Make Me a Million documentary and seeing first hand how to launch a million pound company. Amar has also been employed in senior sales roles in the leisure industry to help turn around failing businesses in the sector and has mentored countless people to set up their own businesses.

An alumni of the prestigious Cass Business School, Amar has sat on various steering groups including the Cass Entrepreneurs Network and in September 2010, Amar was shortlisted for the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2011, he was awarded with a "Excellence Award" from the Global Punjabi Society presented to him by Rt Hon. Dominic Grieve QC MP (Attorney General for UK) and in 2011 he also received the Future 100 Award sponsored by Ernst & Young.

Amar also has also been featured countless times on the BBC News, The Guardian, and writes a regular column for Drink and Drug News (DDN Magazine). Amar sits on the board of the undergraduate Business Studies and Management degrees at Cass Business School. Amar also holds Non-Executive Director positions at in several companies.
