Greetings! Music and the arts. I love them and have dedicated my life to my passion. I started singing and acting at 3 years old while plunking away on a white toy piano with rainbow colored keys.

Growing up I often hovered between a career in the arts or archaeology. I ultimately wound up combining both interests, somewhat, when I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Anthropology with an emphasis on the music and dance of the African Diaspora. Soon after graduating I worked for the nationally syndicated radio program Afropop Worldwide produced in NYC. I have since worked both behind the scenes and in front of the camera in television, film and radio.

I have always had very eclectic tastes in music and enjoy everything from Motown to Kentucky Mountain Music to music from around the globe. I live in NYC and I love to travel and have participated in two seasons of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. I am an artist who went to law school. I graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law as an artist armed with a knowledge of contracts and the intricacies of the business side of the entertainment industry. In addition to performing, I am a member of the New York Bar, an entrepreneur and a creative management consultant helping other artists navigate the often rough waters of the entertainment industry.

My first book, The Little Book of Music Law, which journeys through pop, rock and gramophones to tell the tales of real life music law cases and the stories beyond the courts since the dawn of the popular music industry, is out now! Also, what's a book about music without some solid playlists? Check out my playlists for the book below!
