My name is pronounced Uh-May-Uh. I have worked at the University of Kansas for about five years. People have told me that I have a bubbly personality. I was an Academic Advisor II and Success Coach in the Undergraduate Advising Center located in Summerfield Hall on the Lawrence campus but just recently started as the Academic Success Coach for the BSW and MSW students at the KU Edwards Campus. Before coming to KU, I worked as a live in counselor for early-entrance-to college students at the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Computing in Maryville, MO. While working there, I was able to obtain my Master's degree in Applied Health Sciences with an emphasis in wellness at Northwest Missouri State University.

My hobbies include reading (genres include young adult, social justice, corny romances, and fantasy) cooking, painting, making collages, watching movies, kayaking, and traveling to national parks.

I absolutely love the work that I get to do at KU!
