Amir Novin

Amir is an Alumni of UBC and founder of ScoutMe.ca, Canada's leading high school athletic recruiting service. Amir is also the current CEO and Founder of Vacaii, a startup focused on connecting travelers from around the globe. This unique app allows you to input your itinerary and instantly connect with people who happen to be travelling to the same destination you are. Novin spearheaded major fundraisers for non-profit organizations in Vancouver, with one of his fundraisers, Rock Band : Battle of the Bands, being recognized as the 2nd best Fundraiser of 2008 by 24 Hour Newspaper. He has consulted with non-profits throughout North America regarding fundraising and business development, including the St. Louis Blues of the NHL. He was appointed Executive Director of the 2009 Vancouver Greek Festival, subsequently taking on Corporate Sponsorship and Marketing with the United Way of the Lower Mainland. He proudly served as the Director of Development at Make-A-Wish Foundation after volunteering his time on the Board for two years. Novin sits on the Board for the Achilles Society, responsible for organizing the Harry Jerome International Track Classic. He is also a Founding Director of the Reed Athletics Fund and was involved in building the curriculum for UBC Human Kinetics 454C, a course designed to give HKIN real life physical education experience. This course is jointly administered by the School of Human Kinetics and the UBC Learning Exchange-Trek (LET) program. Novin recently joined the Board at the First Tee of Vancouver, and is currently working on bringing a PGA event to Vancouver.
